General Assembly of the Learned Society of Slovakia 2022
On November 30, 2022, the General Assembly of the Learned Society of Slovakia was held, at which diplomas were presented to the new members elected in 2019 and 2021, The assembly approved changes to the Statute, the date for the election of new members, and a proposed award for extraordinary interdisciplinary scientific output.
The assembly was followed by a ceremonial part with invited guests, the presentation of an honorary doctor of doctor sciences (honorary doctorate of SAS) to a foreign member of the UčSS, prof. George Richard Pickett, followed with a lecture by the awardee and a gala dinner.
New members elected in 2019: Philipp Kukura, Roman Martoňák, Michal Mego, Ivo Petráš, Jozef Šamaj.
New members elected in 2021: Vlasta Brezová, Miroslav Fikar, Peter Chrenek, Boris Klempa, František Lofaj, Karol Marhold, Štefan Matejčík, Katarína Mikušová, Jozef Nosek, Pavel Povinec, Pavol Prokop, Peter Šiffalovič, Ľubomír Tomáška, Michal Zeman, Norbert Žilka.
