Epidemics in History, Present and Future – April 23, 2024 at 17:00

Throughout history, mankind has overcome many epidemics and gradually learned to fight them. But even 21st century medicine has not brought mankind’s final victory over bacteria and viruses. The Learned Society of Slovakia invites you to a discussion on epidemics in the past, present and future.

The discussion was provided by historian Tünde Lengyelová from the Historical Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, v. v. i., epidemiologist Alexandra Bražinová from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University and virologist Boris Klempa from the Biomedical Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, v. v. i.
