Reaction of the UčSS to the statements of the Slovak Government Plenipotentiary Petr Kotlár

The Learned Society of Slovakia (UcsS), an association of top Slovak scientists across all scientific disciplines, strongly rejects a number of false and misleading claims that were made on 2 October 2024 at a press conference of the Slovak Government Commissioner for the Review of the Process of Management and Resource Management during the COVID-19 pandemic, Petr Kotlár.
The UcSS stresses that the alarming claims about the origin of SARS-CoV-2 virus or the dangers of mRNA vaccines are not supported by scientific evidence. The UcSS urges the Government not to accept the recommendations of Commissioner Peter Kotlár in their entirety. After the publication of his report, the UcSS is ready to subject it to a peer review through its members.
