First Centenary Academician of the UcSS
23 April 2025 will go down in the history of the UCSS as the day when the first of its members turned 100 years old. He is an exceptional scientist and an exceptional person, Academician Ján Plesník. On the occasion of this jubilee, a friendly gathering was held in the congress hall of the National Agricultural and Food Centre in Lužianki. The event was held in the spirit of respect and remembrance, highlighting his special contribution to Slovak agricultural science, as well as education. In harmony with this, the words about his Humanity resonated. The ceremony was attended by the chairman of the UčSS, academician Jozef Noga, academician Štefan Luby, as well as his colleagues academicians Jozef Bulla and Peter Chrenek.
