On 6 December 2023, the General Assembly of the Learned Society of Slovakia took place in the Science Park of the University of Bratislava, which was dedicated to the evaluation of the activities of the UčSS in 2023 as well as to the awarding of diplomas to the new members of the Learned Society of Slovakia, who were elected on November 6, 2023::

The last item on the agenda of the meeting was a lecture by academician Igor Lacik, winner of the ESET Science Award in the category “Exceptional personality of science in Slovakia” on the topic “Treatment of diabetes with encapsulated pancreatic islets”.
