Statement of the Learned Society of Slovakia on the tragedy at Charles University in Prague

It is difficult to find words to describe the horror of the tragic event that took place on the campus of the oldest university in Central Europe, so close to us. It claimed the lives of 14 young members of the academic community and injured many others. The Learned Society of Slovakia expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, as well as sympathy for the suffering of all those whose lives were affected by this terrible act of a lone madman.
